(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Dozens of Palestinian activists were injured during renewed clashes on Saturday evening with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Burin village south of Nablus after their establishment of a new anti-settlement village dubbed "Bab Al-Huriya."
According to eyewitnesses, more than 20 Palestinians including a one-month old girl in the village sustained injuries from tear gas and rubber bullets. Only two soldiers were reportedly wounded during these clashes.
They noted that some Jewish settlers helped the soldier attack the activists and physically assaulted some of them.
In another incident, the IOF quelled on the evening of the same day a march held in Kafr Qaddum village east of Qalqiliya in solidarity with the Bab Al-Huriya activists who had been attacked in Burin village.
Murad Eshteiwi, an activist from Kafr Qaddum, told Quds Press that the IOF fired a barrage of tear gas grenades at the march, causing many protestors to suffocate and one kid to suffer injuries after he was hit by a smoke canister.
